As a Principal of NHC and Branch Manager of our Edmonton office, I work on a wide range of water resources management projects across Western Canada and the north, including bank erosion and flood mitigation, flood hazard assessment, dam safety, and river engineering projects. My expertise also includes river ice engineering and numerical modelling with practical applications for infrastructure design and disaster mitigation. Service to the water resources profession is extremely important to me, so I have been an active volunteer member of the Canadian Water Resources Association – Alberta Branch board of directors, and a member of the Committee on River Ice Processes and the Environment throughout my consulting career. Recent projects have included flood hazard mapping studies for Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and Drumheller, Alberta. What I enjoy about working at NHC is that every project I encounter is unique; in river engineering, there are no cookie-cutter solutions. Off work, I have a passion for model railroading but still not enough space at home to construct my dream layout!
