Makamum has 14 years of experience in surface water management, flood hazard identification, flood risk assessment, numerical modelling, hydrology, hydraulic analysis, flood inundation mapping, dam breach inundation studies and stormwater management. He has worked on several flood hazard and risk assessment studies, open water hydrology assessment including flow naturalization, reservoir routing, and frequency analysis, surface water management projects for oil sands clients, water resources feasibility studies, hydrologic analysis for two major river basin flood mitigation studies, hydraulic modelling (part of drainage design for a major highway, inundation mapping, drainage planning, dam breach study, and water sourcing study), supporting water act applications including hydrological analysis and environmental flow needs assessments.
