Katie Mozes brings over 16 years of professional engineering experience in hydrology, hydraulics, river engineering, and stormwater management. She has managed a wide range of projects across Washington State, guiding them from initial scoping through construction while also leading and mentoring colleagues in hydraulic design for water crossings.

Her expertise includes river engineering, fish passage design, habitat restoration (including complex Large Woody Material design), culvert and bridge hydraulics, scour analysis, flood risk assessments, highway drainage and stormwater systems, basis of design reports, 1D and 2D numerical modeling and backwater analysis, as well as floodplain (CLOMR/LOMR/zero-rise) studies.

Katie is highly experienced in coordinating complex projects with resource agencies, state and local entities, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication throughout every stage of design and construction. In addition to leading projects and supporting clients, she currently manages NHC’s Olympia Office. Before joining NHC, Katie worked with WSDOT in both the Headquarters Hydraulics Office and the Southwest Region Project Engineering Office.
