I began my professional career working on mobile-bed physical models. While pursuing my PhD, I decided to focus more on numerical modelling by developing a two-dimensional river morphology model. Since joining NHC in 2005, I have added CFD modeling to the range of tools I now apply to solve complex hydraulic and sediment transport problems, which I have applied to projects in the US, Canada, Asia, and South America. In a recent project, I proposed and tested design improvements to the intake and desander of the Kali Gandaki A Hydroelectric Project in Nepal using both physical and CFD modelling. What do I like about NHC? Amazing projects and great people! In my spare time, I enjoy reading about ancient history and travelling.
