Geomorphology and Geosciences, Hydrology, Climate Change, and Water Management
I have 19 years of experience in hydrometeorological monitoring, hydrology, fluvial geomorphology and hydrogeomorphic processes. My geoscience practice has focused on understanding, quantifying, and mapping the dynamics of natural river and landscape systems in support of engineering projects in remote regions or communities. Field investigations that I’ve conducted throughout the Yukon Territory and British Columbia have expanded my technical knowledge in hydrometeorological data collection, data analysis and geomorphic process interpretation in complex landscapes such as steep mountain watersheds, cold climates, permafrost terrain, and unglaciated regions. I regularly implement and manage real time hydrometeorological monitoring programs designed for high quality data for input to engineering designs, hydrologic modelling, and river forecasting. My geomorphology and hydrology experience includes technical applications in mining, independent hydropower generation, community development and linear infrastructure, while my expertise in hydrometrics and applied geomorphology has supported baseline data investigations, floodplain, and terrain mapping, geohazard assessments, aquatic habitat characterization, regulatory permitting and compliance monitoring.
