I am a senior Fluvial Geomorphologist, specializing in channel stability, particularly steep channels, hydrology, complex data collection systems, and analysis of large time-series datasets. Fundamentally, I am a data geek who enjoys solving difficult data acquisition problems that require the use of a wide variety of commercial and custom-designed instruments for application across the full spectrum of field and laboratory settings. My professional experience includes directing and supervising field programs that have collected sediment, water, topographic, and bathymetric data, as well as geomorphology assessments. When not at work, I enjoy the outdoors, especially skiing and sailing, and getting into the wood shop to make fancy firewood.
