We currently have an opportunity for an experienced junior to mid-level engineer to work on projects across BC.
Based in our North Vancouver office, you will be joining a collaborative team of specialized engineers, geomorphologists, GIS, and technicians, applying and developing your engineering knowledge and skills to support projects in hydraulic modelling, flood hazard assessment, flood mapping, flood mitigation and other hydrotechnical assignments.
Expected Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Master’s degree or higher with a specialization in hydrotechnical engineering.
- 1 to 5 years’ experience in areas such as open water hydraulics, flood hazards, hydraulic modelling, river engineering, geomorphology, storm water analysis, fish passage and habitat, hydrology, hydrometrics, surveying, hydraulic design and construction inspection.
- Registered (or eligible) for registration as EIT or PEng with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
- Self-motivated, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience completing technical assignments in a team environment.
- Skilled at technical writing with demonstrated ability to prepare written reports, present work, and communicate effectively.
- Computer skills (e.g., numerical analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic models, scripts and programming, CAD, GIS, and office productivity software).
- Ability to swim and comfortable working in and around water.
- Valid BC driver’s license.
- Willingness to spend time on short-term field assignments, in sometimes challenging and remote locations.

Salary: $80,000 to $110,000 (plus benefits). Remuneration dependent on experience and qualifications.
