About Us

Northwest Hydraulic Consultants (NHC) is an international firm of consulting civil engineers, geoscientists, and technologists that provides professional services for the development, management and protection of water resources. We are currently seeking a full-time civil engineering technologist with strong skills in drafting and 3D modelling within our Calgary office.

About the Role

The position requires strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D rendering digital terrain models, corridors, and developing engineering production drawing sets.

Qualified candidates have experience working with computer-aided drafting software packages such as AutoCAD®, Civil3D®, Recap®, Solidworks®, SpaceClaim®, Pix4D®, Unreal Engine®, Global Mapper® and Cloud Compare to participate in our CAD prepared projects. Familiarity with survey data collection techniques (total station, laser scanners, lidar, GPS-based survey, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) may also be considered advantageous.

• Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to work independently and be able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality, client service and excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to use their skills to improve the quality and efficiency of our products.
